Wilma V. Brown (nee Vaskis) age 97 of Nesco, NJ passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Arlington, NJ on October 8, 1928, and lived in Kearny, NJ where she graduated from High School.

Her parents owned a summer home in Forked River, NJ where she met her husband and relocated to Forked River, NJ.

Wilma worked for Gordon's Restaurant as a hostess in Forked River for many years. Much of her time was dedicated to church, having spent many years as a member and president of the Women's club in the Forked River United Methodist church. After retirement she and her husband relocated to a small farm in Nesco, NJ where she attended the Pinelands United Methodist Church and served as the Treasurer for the Women's Auxiliary.

She is predeceased by her husband Franklin N. Brown, her daughter Nancy Fogle parents Stanley and Amy Vaskis, and her brother Joseph Vaskis.

Wilma is survived by her daughter Cindy Cowan and her husband Paul of Forked River, NJ and three grandchildren, Drew Cowan, Troy Cowan and Kristina Fogle.

Family and friends are invited to her visitation Saturday January 3, 2026, from 1:00-2:00pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00pm.
