Thomas Allen Henshaw, Sr. age 75 of Elmtowne, NJ and formerly of Hammonton, NJ passed away at his residence on Monday May 26, 2025.
Tom was born and raised in Hammonton, NJ and graduated from St. Joseph HS Class of 1967. While in high school he was a four year varsity scholar where he played basketball, baseball and football. He earned a full basketball scholarship from Midwestern College, which he attended with his brothers Paul and Scott. He graduated with a degree in science. He was a teacher at St. Joseph, Mainland, and Absegami High Schools and also worked in the casino industry where he invented "Crap Shoot", a sit down mini craps table. Tom was an avid sports fan who loved the Philadelphia Phillies.
He is predeceased by his wife Peggy Henshaw (nee Parmer), his son Thomas Henshaw, Jr., parents Francis and Martha Henshaw and brothers Scott, Paul and Rick Henshaw.
He is survived by his son Michael Henshaw and his wife Chrissy, his grandson Nathan Parducci, his brothers Larry and his wife Louise, Robert and his wife Phyllis along with his sisters in law, JoAnne and Karen. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many former students.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday June 4, 2025 from 10:00am - 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Hammonton 398 Bellevue Ave. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A service will begin at 11:00am and Burial will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery First Rd. Hammonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
