Theresa Ann Sharp (nee Berenato), a devoted wife, loving family woman, and passionate educator, passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and love.

Born and raised in Hammonton, NJ, Theresa was the cherished daughter of Nicholas and Josephine Berenato. For 51 beautiful years, Theresa was married to the love of her life, Russell V. Sharp. Together, they built a life filled with deep companionship, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Theresa dedicated her professional life to shaping young minds. She spent 30 years as a teacher, sharing her knowledge and kindness with students at St. Mary's School in Williamstown and within the Atlantic City School System. Her impact on decades of students remains a lasting testament to her patience and passion for education. Outside of the classroom, Theresa's heart belonged to her family-someone who was always there for her family whenever they needed her. She expressed her love through her comforting meals. Theresa also found great joy in the simpler pleasures of life. She was a passionate animal lover who adored her cats, Patches, Gabby, and Pepper. When she wasn't at home, she loved nothing more than a night out at the casino with Russell or embarking on a relaxing cruise through the Caribbean with friends.

Her warmth, generosity, and fierce love for her family will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who were blessed to know her.

Theresa is predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Josephine Berenato, and her father and mother in law Russell and Mary Sharp.

She is survived by her loving husband Russell V. Sharp, her brother Joseph D. Berenato and his wife Cathy, sister Cathie Lucca and her late husband Peter, Brother in law Gary Sharp and his wife Patty and Jane Lehman. Theresa will be sadly missed by all her little kittens, Caryl Berenato (Peter), Tracy Petrongolo (Dino), Cathleen Berenato Sanders (Rob), Joeboy Berenato (Gayle) and PJ Lucca.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 9:00-10:30 am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church Third & French Street Hammonton, NJ. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Road Hammonton, NJ.
