Thelma L. "Fatty" Friia (nee Campanella) age 85 of Hammonton, NJ passed away suddenly Saturday June 27, 2026 at her home.

She was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Saint Joseph's High School. After getting her cosmetology license in her twenties, she owned and operated Fatty's Beauty Salon.

She is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Thelma (nee Temple) Campanella.

She is survived by her two loving sisters Rosalie DeSilvio and Kathleen Campanella, niece Rhonda Chamberlain/Eric and nephews Alexander DeSilvio/Colleen, Dorset Camper/Candy and dear friend Willie. She will be deeply missed by great nieces and nephews as well as family, friends and her loved cats.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday July 1, 2026, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 9:30am - 10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037, with a service beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery 500 N. White Horse Pike Hammonton, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma's name to Animal Welfare Association, 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
