Peter J. age 71, of Hammonton, passed suddenly on Monday, January 30, 2017, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Hammonton, he attended Hammonton High School. He owned and operated multiple locations of Lucci Hair Design through the 1970s, 80s and 90s. He obtained his real estate license in 1995 and worked as a successful broker in Ocean City, NJ and throughout South Jersey. He was an avid golfer and traveled the country to play its most famous links. He also loved to be on the beach and watch the sunrise in his beloved Margate City. He was an amazing and magnetic person who cultivated meaningful and lasting relationships with everyone he met. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and enjoyed dispensing his years of accumulated wisdom, whether it be at the Silver Coin Diner, the Greenhouse or his porch on Benson Ave. in Margate. He had an unforgettable smile and an unmistakable laugh. Often when asked how he was doing, his response was, "just another day in paradise." He lived each day to its fullest and his example, guidance and love will be missed by so many.
Peter was predeceased by his father, Peter Lucca. He is survived by his mother Margaret Paxton (93); his loving wife, Cathie Lucca (nee Berenato); daughter, Tracy Petrongolo (nee Lucca) and her husband Dino Petrongolo; his son, PJ Lucca and his wife Meredith; and his grandchildren, Grace and Dino Petrongolo.
