Matthew W. Pinto III

Matthew W. Pinto III, age 67 of Hammonton, NJ passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday October 20, 2026. Matt was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School Class of '77, where he was proudly recognized as Baby of the Year 1959 and Best Looking of the Class of '77.

He worked for Atlantic City Electric for over 30 years where he never missed a days work. Although his favorite retirement job was self titled role as 'Delivery Boy' for his daughter's flower shop, Passions Florist.

Matt was an avid sports fan especially of the Philadelphia Eagles, spending many Sundays cheering them on with friends and family. Matt was a man of many hobbies including making homemade wine with friends, tending to his vegetable garden, and his annual golfing trip with the guys to Myrtle Beach, where he was one of the original foursome. He was also a proud Gold Card member of the Sons of Italy Giuseppe Garibaldi Lodge 1658, and Past President of the Hammonton Lions Club.

Matt is predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Frances (nee Dodd) Pinto. He is survived by his wife Geri Johnson (nee Ferronto), his daughters Christina Pinto Kabba (Martin) and Jennifer Pinto, siblings MaryAnn Pinto Ford, Michael Pinto (Angie) and Loving Grandfather to Sofia Kabba. Matt also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were more like family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Sunday October 25, 2026 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. No Monday Viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 26, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church Third and French St. Hammonton, NJ. Entombement will be at the convenience of the family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
