Mary L. Fifer

Mary L. Fifer, age 74 of Estell Manor, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 21, 2025.

She was born in 1950 to the late Leo and Wilma Morse in Fall River, South Dakota, moved to Wyoming and then with her parents and sisters to NJ when she was 5 where they eventually settled in Hammonton. Mary graduated from Hammonton High School in 1968 after which she proceeded to start her family with her high school sweetheart and husband Rick. She was a loving and devoted wife for over 58 years and a remarkable mother and grandmother. She started her career in the Eye Care profession by working for Dr. Streitfeld in the 1970's eventually retiring as a territory director in 2016 for the Visionworks Corporation.

Her faith in God was very strong and she wore out the pages of her bible from reading it cover to cover so many times. Mary always had a kind word for everyone and was famous among friends and family for her delicious Sunday dinners and cherry pies. She loved to cook for her family, watch the Eagles, and attend any event her children and grandchildren had. Whether it was a football game, wrestling match, cheerleading, gymnastics or baseball, she was always there cheering the loudest. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed riding amusement rides even if it meant being slung in the air, dropped from the sky, or being on the top of the highest ferris wheel. She loved it all as did her family.

Mary will be missed terribly by all who knew her but especially by her devoted and loving family who she loved more than anything. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Rick, her children, Rick and wife Tracy, and Bill and wife Rachel. Her grandchildren Ricky (Kayla), Alyssa (Bryan), Billy, Brianna, Samantha, Garret, and Alec (Rachel). Her Great-Grandsons Eric, Alec Jr, and Lucas and sister Alice Fatzinger (Ty).

She is predeceased by her parents, Leo and Wilma Morse and sister Cheryl Stager, and brother in law Richard Stager. Mary's life was full and her blessings many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday April 28, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, NJ. Services will be held at 7:00pm. Burial will be private.
