Margaret H. "Peg" Schenker (nee Sweeney) age 87 passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Spring Village in Hammonton, NJ.

Peg was born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ and raised her family in Linwood, NJ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had an immense love for her family. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and going out to lunch. She always prioritized others, with her kind heart and thoughtfulness.

During her many years of working as a payroll clerk at Bally's Casino and as a property manager at CRM; she did so gracefully & with steadfast strength raising three children as a single parent after losing her beloved husband at age 39.

She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Schenker, Sr., her parents Joseph and Mary Sweeney, step father William Stevenson (Poppop), and her brother Joseph Sweeney (Lynda).

Peg is survived by her daughter Kathleen J. Marcasciano (Jim), two sons, Arthur J. Schenker, Jr. (Sharon) and Gregory W. Schenker (Georgeann), one brother Mike Sweeney (Robin) and three sisters Joan Pileggi (Late Ralph), Virginia Touhy (Tom) and Josephine Reese.

She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren, James Marcasciano, Jr., Jason Marcasciano, Jessica Hillesheim, Devon Nadour, Alexis Noll, A.J. Schenker, Daniel Schenker, Julia Schenker and twelve great grandchildren

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00 -11:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home - 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, NJ. Services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Laurel Memorial Park 2301 English Creek Ave. Egg Harbor Twp. NJ.
