Obituary

Lynn Marie (Durkin) Bowers, age 66 of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Sunday June 28, 2026 at home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in Rockledge Pa. in the big White House on Loney St. She excelled academically as well as musically as she made her way through the Abington School District and graduated from Abington Sr. High School in 1978. She went on to continue her studies at Penn State Abington.

Lynn Marie was full of life and loved to talk. She was funny, energetic, and kind. She had a large empathetic heart that was always willing to help whoever was in need. In her life, she worked and helped rehabilitate troubled youth, volunteered at church, and was always a supportive friend. She loved music, acting, and the theater. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she deeply loved all of us. Lynn Marie was so proud to be a part of this family and will be remembered for how hard she fought and persevered through the years. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of resilience. As she was proud of us, we are just as proud of her and will be greatly missed.

Lynn is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Catherine Durkin and her brother Michael Durkin.

She is survived by her brother Stephen Durkin; daughters Meghan Bowers and Erica Samaroo (Raj); and her companion and best friend Stephen Rosenello. She was the loving Mom Mom of Tommy, Charlotte, Maya, Leo, and Jude.

The funeral will be held on her birthday, July 14th, 2026 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church 535 Rhawn St Phila Pa 19111. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am followed by a service from 10:30-1130am. A private burial will be held at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn's memory to your local food pantry.
