Obituary

Lyndsey Scaffidi, age 43, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away suddenly at her home on December 20, 2025. She was born in Camden, NJ, and was a lifelong Hammonton resident.

Lyndsey graduated from Hammonton High School in 2001. Throughout her high school years, she was involved in many activities, including cheerleading and softball, where she made many memories and lifelong friends. Her passion for softball continued into community college. During this time, she also worked in the hospitality industry with her sister in Atlantic City. Lyndsey later entered the medical field and became a supervisor for AMI.

Lyndsey had a love for all animals, including her very first fur baby, Sadie, and her beloved Maddie, along with all of her family dogs-Mia, Sophie, and her newest addition, Buddy. Although she did not have children of her own, her nieces, Samantha and Melania, were her world. She was a big kid at heart with a huge sense of humor and always made them laugh, whether she was playing games, making videos, singing, dancing, or just being silly. As they grew older, she enjoyed teaching them her knowledge of cheer and softball and supporting them in every way. She attended every activity she could and was their biggest cheerleader.

Everyone who knew her knew how much she loved the outdoors-whether it was a hike through Batsto, a day at the beach, any kind of outdoor festival, or a sporting event or concert. Not to mention her love of all types of music. She would never turn down a night out dancing or a concert. In her quiet time, she also enjoyed writing poems.

Lyndsey will always be remembered for her love of family and friends. Her favorite pastime was spending time with those she loved. She was always there to pick you up and make you laugh when you needed it most. If you were fortunate enough to be in her life, then you knew you always had someone who had your back, no matter what.

We couldn't have asked for a better daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, or friend. She will be missed every day, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

She is survived by her parents, John Richard and Kathleen (Milazzo) Scaffidi; her brother, John Scaffidi; her niece, Samantha; her mother, Alyssa Mingin; her sister, Cherie Ramos, and her husband, Leo; and her niece and goddaughter, Melania. She will be truly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held privately.
