d. June 19, 2016

Louise VanDusen, formerly of Hammonton, died peacefully Sunday, June 19th at Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Johnson City, NY, Louise lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Washington, DC, with her husband, Henry ("Van") who worked for the Department of the Navy. Eventually settling in McClean, VA, Louise worked for the Fairfax County School Board, retiring as the head of the system's food service program. She and her husband moved to Hammonton in the early 1980s. Louise was an avid gardener, early active volunteer with Hammonton First, and parishioner at Victory Bible Church. Her most important role, however, was as a devoted caregiver to her husband and her daughter until succumbing to illness herself. Louise was predeceased by her mother and father, Adeline and Harold Bryant, and her husband Henry Jeffers "Van" VanDusen. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Steven) Barry and René (Edward) Wuillermin; her grandchildren Tabatha Carey, Edward and Sara Wuillermin, Rusty and Chris Barry and Jen Clist, and eight great grandchildren. Services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, South Jersey Regional Office, Marlton, NJ 08053.
