Lois Wilson recently of Hammonton, NJ, age 78, passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2025, at AtlantiCare in Atlantic City with her loving family by her side.
Lois was born and raised in Youngstown, OH. She met her husband, John, on a blind date set up by a mutual friend of theirs in 1965 and later married in Cleveland, OH where they were both attending post-secondary schools. Lois worked as a Registered Nurse in Ohio and Michigan. When her children were born, she partnered with a friend of hers to open a retail maternity and baby clothes store in Midland, MI called 'Pickles at Midnight.' Later, she became a Realtor for RE/MAX out of Quakertown, PA. She lived the longest in Quakertown, PA, and Bend, OR before relocating to live with her daughter in Hammonton, NJ.
Lois enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing, quilting, stained glass, and then learned how to fuse and slump glass into jewelry, artwork, and custom kitchen items. Lois and John traveled to all 50 states along with several other countries. They had a menagerie of animals over the years, including dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits. Lois loved giving back to her communities and volunteered in Bend at the High Desert Museum as a greeter and at the Bethlehem Inn emergency shelter where she got to help so many.
She is predeceased by her husband John and her parents. Lois is survived by and dearly missed by her children Christy Goodnight and Steven Wilson; three grandchildren; one great grandchild, along with nieces and nephews and other relatives.
