Lois C. Gaimari (nee Ordille) age 95 of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ and formerly of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home on Friday June 6, 2025.
Lois was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School and Glassboro State College. She taught at St. Joseph Elementary School for more than 25 years where hundreds of students knew her as their second-grade teacher. She later served as Vice Principal of the elementary grades.
After her career in education Lois obtained her real estate license working as a realtor ending her career with Max Gurwicz & Son in Northfield, NJ where she worked for 24 years. A street within the London Court town home complex, Lois Drive, remains named on her behalf.
Lois lovingly spent half of her working life guiding countless children in their initial stages of education. She had an immense love for her family and over the years her unending support of her children and grandchildren highlighted her life. She attended almost every event and activity through the years, including proudly watching all of them graduate high school and college. She was fond of the occasional cocktail or glass of wine and a trip to the casino where she gravitated to the "Wheel of Fortune." She also formed a bond with the family's last pet, "Sabrina," a towering Great Dane she adored. Lois' sense of humor was unique and she mastered the art of sarcasm, never fearful of stating her mind or opinion and was a source of wisdom and guidance for all those close to her while demonstrating unconditional love and a strength of spirit for all those she cared for.
Lois is predeceased by her husband Alfonse M. Gaimari, her parents John J. and Violet Ordille and her brother John B. Ordille.
She is survived by her children, Michael A. Gaimari and his wife Maria of Hopewell Twp. NJ, Karen Raffo of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ and Dena Travaglini of Mantua, NJ. She is the loving grandmother of Michael Gaimari Jr., Arianna and Alexx Travaglini. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins and those she loved and loved her.
Relatives and friends may attend her visitation on Friday June 13, 2025 from 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Street, Hammonton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Burial will held privately by the family.
Donations may be made in Lois's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation @ Parkinson.org or to the Policeman's Benevolent Association Local 94, PO Box 1799, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
