Kay Arlyn Bradbury (Kennedy), age 87 of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ and formerly Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 10, 2025, at Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill, NJ with family by her side.
Kay was born and raised in Omaha, NE and graduated from Omaha Tech High School. She attended college for a short time before joining the Air Force, where she proudly served her country. After her service, she devoted herself to raising a family and working for Colorado College. She was deeply dedicated to her family and had an incredible ability to care for everyone around her, always putting others before herself.
Kay found joy in the simple things. Sipping her coffee in the mornings, birdwatching from her window, and listening to classic country western music. She loved playing games with her grandchildren and never went without her signature red lipstick. To her, life was simple, and above all, it was blessed. Her greatest happiness was being with her family. She always lit up during family get togethers, creating a space where love, stories, and smiles flowed freely. She had a way of making everyone feel at home and turning ordinary moments into lifelong memories. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and the way she brought people together. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, family, and all who knew her.
Kay is predeceased by her parents Kenneth Kennedy and Helen Kebler (Kennedy), husband William F. Bradbury Jr, brother Edward Kennedy, daughter Margaret "Peggy" Billington, son William F. Bradbury III, nephew Mark Kennedy, and grandson Caleb Steffensen.
She is survived by her children Ken Newman (Linda), Phillip Arroyo (Starla), Donald Arroyo (Danise), Bradley Bradbury (Misty), Barbara Macrie (Daniel), Mary Anderson Arroyo, Merri Rose Ziebell (Butch), Terri Rose Beckner, Nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Her burial will be later in Denver, CO at Fort Logan National Cemetery with a private family gathering to honor her life, service, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.
