John R. Morsa, age 76, of Galloway Township and formerly of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
John was born in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from North Catholic High School, Class of 1967. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After marrying his wife Stephanie, he moved to Hammonton, where they began their life together. John had a profound love of music. Singing was one of his greatest joys and expression of love.
He is predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Mary Morsa; his beloved son, John L. Morsa; and siblings Phil Morsa, Angie Fisher, and Louis Morsa.
John is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (née Melnyk); his daughter Stephanie Ritzer (Andrew), granddaughters Alexa and Morgan Ritzer; daughter in law Melinda Morsa; his sister Mary Radenz (Ron); and sister-in-law Kathy Melnyk. He was a beloved uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews, as well as a dear cousin and friend to many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church, Third and French Streets, Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to commemorate John's life may consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Camp Nejeda, PO Box 156, Stillwater, NJ 07875; or a Vietnam Veterans organization of your choice, in honor of John's service.
