George Castine, age 72, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Born in Abington, PA, George was raised in Galloway Township, where he graduated from Absegami High School. He worked for many years at Lenox China in Pomona, as well as with the Atlantic County Highway Department. In retirement, George spent his time in Maine, where he truly found his peace enjoying hunting and fishing. He also loved surf fishing in Brigantine, trout fishing, camping, skiing, and kayaking. Anyone who knew George knows he had a great sense of humor he truly loved telling jokes and making others laugh. George was a former member of Boothill Gun Club and Won and Done Lodge in Maine.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joe and Anna (née Ciccariello) Castine, and his sister, Debbie Sherman. George is survived by his sons, Matt (Noel), CJ, and Nick (Jennifer); his siblings, Joey, Girard (Patty), Teddy (Cyndi), Riche (Lisa), Steve (Julie), and Helen Pearson (Bruce); and his brother-in-law, Bill Sherman. He was a loving grandfather to Madilyn and Callan, and a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his close friends, who were like family to him in Maine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday April 15, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's name to the American Cancer Society.
