Frank M. Calletta, age 74, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was a proud Hammontonian, having spent his entire life in Hammonton. He graduated from Hammonton High School in 1969 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University. He was successful at his many business endeavors that followed.
Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force for six years. A dedicated advocate for veterans, he was the current Commander of American Legion Post #186 and Sergeant at Arms for the Atlantic County American Legion. In recognition of his service and commitment to the Post and the veterans of Hammonton, Frank was honored this year with the prestigious Quilt of Valor.
He is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Margaret (née Gasenbaur) Calletta. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Arlene (née Gullo); his son, Frank R. Calletta and wife Michele; his daughter, Lynne Dougherty and husband Michael; and his sister, Joyce Perry and husband Bill. He was the proud grandfather to Colin, Ryan, and Patrick Dougherty and Cora, Lila, Luke, and Zack Calletta.
October 18, 2025-the day of his funeral-would have marked Frank and Arlene's 50th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, located at Third & French Streets in Hammonton. A Catholic Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to American Legion Post #186, Hammonton, NJ.
