Christopher W. Gillies age 67 of Hammonton, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday April 5, 2026 at his residence. Chris was born in Braintree, Massachusetts and has resided in Hammonton since 1988. He was a graduate of Stonehill College and received a Master's Degree from Seton Hall University. Chris worked in Health Care Administration for Brandywine Senior Living and Riverside Health System. He was a member of the Moorestown Rotary Club and the Hammonton Kiwanis Club.
Chris enjoyed spending time in Long Beach Island with his family, participating in triathlons, acting as pit master during many family gatherings, playing with his grandkids, and was an avid firework enthusiast. As a youth, Chris rose to the rank of Eagle Scout.
Chris is predeceased by his parents Richard W. and Saran (nee Bruce) Gillies and his brother Philip Gillies.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (nee McLaughlin), daughter Elisabeth Mullins (Andy), his son Christopher W. Gillies II (Tiffany), brother Andrew Gillies (Catherine), sister Katherine Gillies, and mother-in-law Claire McLaughlin as well as his sister- and brother-in-law Mary and Jim Fratto. He was the loving grandfather a.k.a. "T" to Tenley Gillies, Christopher Gillies III, James Mullins, and Jack Mullins. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, great nieces and nephew, and all of his friends who were like family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10:00am - 12:00pm, with funeral services to follow at Marinella Funeral Home (102 N 3rd St., Hammonton, NJ).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris's memory to Autism Speaks (autismspeaks.org).
