Charles M. Craig

Charles M. Craig, 92, of Galloway, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

He was born and raised in Hammonton, NJ and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1951. He received abachelor’s degree from Trenton State College.

Charles proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as asergeant during the Korean War.

For over 25 years, Charles was a captain of the Homicide Detective Unit for the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and retired in 1994.

He loved spending time with his family, camping, andgolfing at various courses. Charles skillfully accomplished a hole in one at Hammonton’s Frog Rock Golf Course.

Charles is predeceased by his wife Gail Ione Craig (nee Balmer), his parents Melvin and Beatrice (nee Robey) Craig and his sister Eleanor Johnston.

He is survived by his loving sons, Jeff (Marie) Craig and Jon (Cindi) Craig, and

step-children Kim (Jay) Ewasko, Terri (Tom) Schad, Craig (Kim) Easton and his sister Catherine (William) Parkhurst. He will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren.

Per Charles’ request, services will be private.
