Anna Marie "Nancy" Williams went to dance in the streets of Heaven on November 5, 2025. She was 74 years old.
Above all else, Nancy was devoted to her family. She was happiest when everyone was together-joking, laughing, and simply loving one another. She never missed a birthday, always cheered the loudest for every accomplishment, and was the first to lend a hand when someone needed her. Nancy was a steady hand and a solid rock for those around her-the true matriarch of her family.
While Nancy loved her children deeply and treated her friends like family, her greatest joy in life came from being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she was endlessly proud of each of them. She cherished every moment-whether it was a big celebration or just an ordinary afternoon. She was always there with love, support, and advice (whether requested or not), and making sure her grandchildren knew she was their biggest champion. They will carry her lessons, her warmth, and her love in their hearts always.
Nancy also loved being in the kitchen. Whether it was a simple family dinner, an elaborate holiday feast, or catering a big party, she poured her heart into every dish. Her macaroni and cheese was legendary-often declared "award-winning" by family and friends. But she guarded that recipe with cookie-tin-level secrecy, warning that anyone who dared share it risked family exile... or at the very least, a very disappointed mother/grandmother.
A lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Nancy rooted for her team through wins and losses with unwavering loyalty. She loved a good-natured rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys fans in her family, but love of family always triumphed over love of football.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Traci (Jim); grandchildren Ashley, Kayla (Rodney), Michelle, Elaina, Steven, Alyssa, Jason, Matt, Danny, Raymond, Aubrey, and Jimmy; and great-grandchildren Sophia, Skylar, and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister, Bernadette Bednarik; her brothers, Terry and Joseph Goggin; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children.
She is reunited in Heaven with her sons John and Jason Capehart; her daughter Kelli Turro; Aunt Rita and Uncle Bob Flynn; her parents and grandparents; and her siblings Edward and Michael Goggin and Barbara McBride.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Collings Lakes, NJ. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Nancy insisted that her funeral be a celebration, not a time of sadness. In honor of her wishes, the family invites attendees to wear their Eagles gear to the service.
In lieu of flowers-and in keeping with her wishes-the family requests donations in her memory to either the Wounded Warrior Project or the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Nancy made an impact on every life she touched. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered with love. Her kindness, strength, and laughter will live on through the many hearts she shaped. Her love was her legacy-and it will carry on in all of us.
