Amelia Trepiccione (nee Lagnese), age 94 of Hammonton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Amelia was born and raised in Sparanise, Caserta, Italy, and immigrated to the United States with her late husband, Elpidio, in November 1962. She spent her life building a home filled with love, faith, food, and family.

Amelia was the matriarch and heart of her family. Her love language was cooking. She lived the American dream, not through wealth or public acclaim, but through the love she gave and the food she made, which strengthened those bonds. She welcomed everyone to her table and shared old-world recipes in a new place. Her kitchen table was open to family, friends, and friends of friends, who shared in her stories, recipes, and family traditions. She will be remembered for the love she planted in our hearts, the new stories she helped to create, and the recipes she left for others to continue.

Over the years, Amelia worked for W.B. Kessler Clothing Co. and retired from Whitehall Labs in Hammonton after 15 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful Catholic parishioner and active member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elpidio, her son Giuseppe (Joe), her parents Archangelo and Angiolina Lagnese, and her siblings Olga Carletti, Emma Lucca, Antoinette DiLettera, and Nick Lagnese.

Amelia is survived by her son Steven and his wife Aimee; her brother Domenico Lagnese and his wife Paula; her sister Maria Consoli; her grandsons Joshua and Noah Trepiccione; and Donna, the devoted widow of her late son Giuseppe.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church, 3rd and French Streets, Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 248 South First Road, Hammonton, NJ.
