Alice Reber beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on February 27th 2026. She was 80 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, she grew up with a gentle spirit and a warm heart that would become the foundation of her life. She was known for her strong work ethic, her welcoming smile and her natural ability to make others feel safe and loved.
As a mother, she was patient, nurturing, and endlessly supportive. As a grandmother, she was pure magic - always ready with warm hugs, homemade meals, sweet stories and a listening ear. Her grandchildren were among her greatest joys, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Her home was a place of comfort and belonging. The door was always open and her heart always ready to embrace anyone in need. She had a rare gift for making people feel valued and seen. Whether through her gentle advice, her quiet strength, or her steady presence, she brought peace wherever she went.
Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her soft laughter, and the way she carried herself with grace. She taught her family the meaning of unconditional love, forgiveness, and kindness through the example of her own life
She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Bruno and Helen Todaro; her siblings, Nola Heckle, Jeannie DeLucca (Vincent), Joseph Wessell; her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Anson (Jon), Kristen Bruno (Ross), Angela Todaro, Matthew Todaro, Taylor Bruno (Franco); the father of her children Paul Reber, and many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Baumeister and Helen Wessell. Brothers Frank Baumeister and Derek Wessell, sister-in-law Janet Carty, companion Mike Trapani, and best friend Mikey Panichelli.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life, Thursday March 5, 2026 with a visitation at 9:30am and funeral services to follow at 11:00am all at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the animal shelter of one's choice, or that you honor her memory by showing kindness to someone in need - just as she always did.
