Samuel C. 'Sam Diamond' Codario, Jr.

d. December 27, 2020

Samuel C. Codario, Jr. AKA Sam Diamond passed away at home with his loving family by his side. Sam was a lifelong Hammonton resident and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1960. This is where his passion for music and football began. He continued on to play for the Hammonton Bakers, a semi-pro football team. In 1965 he opened Diamond S Gun & Saddle shop and Archery Course. Sam joined the local National Guard and was drafted into the Army. Shortly thereafter he became ill and once stable, set off into the sunset on his 2 year-19 day journey across the United States on Horseback from 1974-1976. He started in Atlantic City, NJ and ended in Mission Beach CA. Sam was a talented musician, archer, sharp shooter, horseback rider, football player and inventor. But above all his greatest accomplishment was his family. For the past 30+ years he operated a golf barrier netting business "Cross Country Cowboy" inventing a patented system installed throughout the US. Sam greeted each day with a big smile and cheerful good morning, happy to have another day on this earth granted by God. If you ever had one of Sam's cheerful greetings, big bear hugs or firm handshakes you were blessed.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Lucrecia (Sottile) Codario, their children Samantha Egekwu (Okechi) and Elizabeth Schlaudt (Jeff) and his oldest children, Sandy Bennett Pawloski (Steve) and Samuel C Codario III, as well as his brother Ralph Codario (Rita) and sisters Rosemarie Templeton (Frank) and Dianna Leonard (Jack).
He is the loving grandfather of Ethan, Gabby, Isaiah, Vienna, Okechi, Levi, Everly and Lucrecia and loving Uncle of Roseann, Regina, Renee and DeborahAnn. Sam was predeceased by his father Samuel C. Codario, Sr., mother Anna T (Giuffre) Codario and brother Dennis Codario.
