Robert George Macrie

Robert George Macrie, Sr. age 64 of Sweetwater, NJ passed away Tues. July 7, 2009 at Atlantic Care Regional Hospital in Pomona. Born in Hammonton, he was a 1960 graduate of Hammonton High School. He retired in 2000 as a Maintenance Technician for Verizon. He also worked for Lowes in Egg Harbor Twp. Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Corporal during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Cape - Atlantic Marine Corp. League. He loved to play Santa Claus for many charitable organizations. Robert is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Eleanor Macrie. Surviving are his wife Joyce D. (nee Friedley ), 2 sons Robert G. Macrie, Jr. of Sweetwater, and Christian Macrie and his wife Julie of Mays Landing, 1 daughter Valerie and her Fiance Patrick Aiken of Pleasantville. Brother Frank Macrie of Las Vegas, and 2 sisters Jo Ann Petters of Blue Anchor and Katherine Lemons and her husband William of Hammonton, Loving Grandfather of Robbie, Joey and Colin Macrie, Alexandria and Adam Montalvo. Dear Uncle of Danny Macrie, Tom ( Lisa ) Petters, Mark ( Amy ) Petters, Lacy Lemons, Laurie Ott, Lisa Cuneo and Lerik Lemons.
