Michael Passarella, Sr.

Michael Passarella Sr. of Elm, NJ passed away on November 26, 2017. He was born on July 29, 1924 to Florence and Gus Passarella of Waterford, NJ.  He had 5 siblings, Marie, Dorothy, Anna, Donald and Gus. His life was dedicated to service for country, community and family. He was a World War ll veteran. He married Margaret Patton on October 1, 1946. They had 3 children Michael Jr., James and Barbara. He worked for NJ Transit for 35 years and part time officer for the Winslow Township Police Department. He served his community as a member of the Waterford Fire Department, Winslow Township Ambulance Corp., Knights of Columbus, Elks and Elmtown Homeowners association.  He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 71 years, his children Michael (Charlotte), James (Patrice), Barbara (Harry) Lutz. His grandchildren Michael (Kim), Stacy (Michael) Ostermueller, Christie (Chris) Linden, James (Melissa), Harry Jr. (Katie) Lutz, Daniel (fiancée Kate) Lutz.  He will be sadly missed by his 10 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday eve 6:00-9:00pm, another viewing will be held Friday morning 9:30-10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday morning 11:00am at Christ the Redeemer Parish- St. Anthony Church 450 Pennington Ave. Waterford.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery White Horse Pike, Berlin.
