Michael C. Ciano

Ciano, Michael C. – age 55 of Hammonton, passed away quietly on June 30, 2023, after a brief illness. Michael was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised, for the most part, in Hammonton, where he graduated with the class of 1985 from Hammonton High School. After graduation, Michael worked in various fields and found his place in the culinary world cooking in restaurants in Philadelphia, as well as various South Jersey pizza shops.

Michael had a passion for music and the bass guitar; and formed a band with his closest friends from childhood, and they jammed and played gigs off and on over the years.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Eileen “Lee” Ciano. He was his mother’s sole caregiver for eight years until her death in 2019. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dominic and Elizabeth Ciano and his Aunt Roz and Uncle Bob Frederico.

Michael is survived by his cousins – Robert Frederico, Jr. (Lynn) and their son; Lisa Frederico; Rhonda Bianchini and her sons; Joel Frederico, Sr. (Jen) and their sons; and Jason Frederico, Sr. and his children, as well as best friends – Bob Aschane, Jim Aschane, Tom DiGuglielmo, Paul Ciarlante, Jay Romer and Nancy Valentino. Michael was also survived by the love of his life.

Burial was private at the convenience of his family.
