Mary Jo Perrone

PERRONE,
Mary Jo ( nee Gallo ), age 68 passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014. A resident of Mays Landing and Hammonton. She left behind her husband Austin "Pee Wee" and three wonderful children Denise ( Mike ) Massey, Kathy ( Lou ) Pantalone and Tony ( April ) Perrone. She was very proud of her seven wonderful grandchildren, Anthony, Nina, Samantha, Elizabeth, James, Gaetan and Jonas. She loved all of them very much. After 23 years with the Atlantic County Surrogate Court, She retired to a life of volunteering. The Women's Club of Mays Landing, Northfield Garden Club, Queen Mom of the Red Hat Society in Mays Landing, Hammonton Art Center with her passion of Photography, Hammonton Historical Society and the Main Street Volunteer program. One of her favorite nights, was the magical tree lighting on Bellevue Ave. with Santa. You could always find her in town picking up trash, planting flowers, decorating store fronts, decorating homes for the Historical Society's Christmas House Tours and interviewing World War II Veterans. She would like to thank her Aunts, Gilda, Catherine, Lucy and Uncle Dave and Aunt Joanne ( especially for the soup, stews and polenta ,) all her cousins, Sue, Franny, Larry and Carol, her two wonderful brothers and sisters - in- laws, Dave ( Michelle ), Joe ( Nancy ), her nephews Michael, ( Kelly), Danny ( Ruth ) and niece Megan for keeping her laughing, her very dear friend Mr. Angelo Scaltrito for his friendship, two summers of vegetables and his famous wedding soup. Thank you to her friends, Nancy and Mr. Belanger, her seventh grade teacher who has never stopped teaching her, Janet, Chris, Alice, Maggie, Fred and Eliz Winterbottom, and Kenny for all their telephone calls and visits. Most of all from the support from this wonderful town of Hammonton especially Cassie, Linda, Ruth, Gabe and Gina, Jim and Kelly, Pat, Cathy and Bill, Ginny, Ellen and Erma. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday 6:00pm - 9:00pm with a memorial service held 8:00pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, NJ. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Mary Jo would like donations to be sent to Hammonton Cancer Foundation P.O. Box 1066 Hammonton, NJ 08037.
