Marion L. Citta

Marion L. Citta (nee Huss), age 89, of Blue Anchor, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Marion was born in Lakewood, NJ, and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1950. She graduated from Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, was a member of the Episcopal Hospital Nursing Group, and furthered her studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Marion was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church at Hammonton, where she played bells for church services and piano for the nursery school students.

We will remember Marion for her passion for music, cooking, entertaining, and immense love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and beloved friends. She was a strong role model who demonstrated how to celebrate life and be resilient in overcoming its challenges. She will live on in the many lives she has touched along her journey.

Her parents, John and Edna Huss, her husband, Dr. Richard J. Citta, and her son Richard J. Citta, Jr, predeceased her.

Marion's surviving children include Dr. Thelma Jean Citta, Ronald Mark Citta (Stacey), Robert J. Citta (Dianne), Susan Citta Chodoff (Louis), and Lynda Citta Rosenthal (Gary); her brothers, Mr. John Huss, and Dr. Richard Huss (Dr. Karen Huss); her grandchildren, Dr. Alaina C. Chodoff (Dr. Ryan Belecanech), Dr. Marissa Pietrolungo (Mr. Randy Mays), Dr. Cara Baker (Dr. William Baker), Lia Pietrolungo, CD-BAI, Victoria Citta, RN, Richard J. Citta, Abigayle Citta, Maxwell Rosenthal, Ronald Citta Jr., Samuel Citta, and Alexa Rosenthal; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family and friends may attend her viewing on Thursday, August 4, 2022, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm, with service and refreshments to follow at the Hammonton Presbyterian Church, 326 Bellevue Ave, Hammonton, NJ 08037. The burial will be Friday, August 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery, 500 White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ.
