Lillian Murphy (nee Vaughn ) age 95 of Galloway, formerly of Elwood, went home to be with her Lord and Savior with her family by her side on Sunday September 30, 2012. Lillian was born and raised in Atsion. After marrying Alfred Murphy they moved to Elwood, where they began their life together and raised their family. Lillian worked at Kessler Clothing and Deer Park Baking in Hammonton. She also worked in the Elwood School Cafeteria. Lillian enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with her family, reading her Bible and sharing Scripture. Lillian was a member of The Church of God where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She is predeceased by her husband Alfred and her sons Howard and Rodney. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters Elizabeth (Paul) Hagelin of Egg Harbor City, Madeline (Clyde) Snyder of Elwood, and Lorraine Tice of Mays Landing, her sons Alfred ( Betty) Murphy of Hammonton, Clayton and Gregory Murphy of West Palm Beach, FL.. Loving grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 31. She also leaves her friends and second family at Seashore Gardens in Galloway. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 9:30 am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Services will be 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elwood Cemetery. In memory of Lillian donations may be made to Seashore Gardens 22 W. Jimmie Leeds Rd. Galloway, NJ 08205. ( www.marinellafuneralhome.com)
