Joseph DeRosa, age 79, passed April 15, 2013. Born in Waterford, he lived in Egg Harbor City for the past 45 years. Joe is survived by his loving wife Marie (nee Matassa); children, Joseph, JoAnn (Edward Sanderson), Debbie (David Orosz), Karen (Jennifer Turner); grandchildren Kelsey, Scott and Sandy; sister-in-law Carol; and, many nieces and nephews. Joe was a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree St. Nicholas Council #3500 and 4th Degree St. Vincent Pallotti Council Assembly #680 of Egg Harbor City. He was also a District Deputy and a past Grand Knight. He was a member of Mullica Twp. Board of Education, Board of Health and Zoning Board. Joe is predeceased by his mother Rose and father Antonio, brothers Frank Maglione (Camille), Duke Maloney (Mabel), Raymond DeRosa (Eleanor), Pat DeRosa, and sister Rose Pollock (Jerry).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 9-11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Nicholas Church 525 St. Louis Ave. Egg Harbor City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11am at the Church. Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery White Horse Pike, Berlin. Donations may be made to Knights of Columbus #3500 243 St. Louis Ave. Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215 or Compassion Care Hospice 218 South Shore Rd. Marmora, NJ 08223.
