John E. Ordille, 89, of Hallandale Beach, Florida passed away at his home on June 17, 2011, after a brief illness. Born in Hammonton, NJ, John was an army pilot who flew reconnaissance missions during World War II. After a distinguished career at the Pentagon, he retired from the Department of Army Office in 1969 as a Lt. Colonel. He was Comptroller of the Army and Director of Management Review and Analysis. John received an official commendation for his leadership role in Project 80 , which was initiated by Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. This project was responsible for the complete reorganization of the Army. He spent his retirement in Florida, and leaves behind loving family and many good friends, especially Sylvia Cloudier, and Rose Arnoux, his nurse. He was predeceased by his father John Ordille, mother Anna nee Clements Ordille; his siblings, Marietta Ordille; Anthony Ordille ( Edith); Joseph Ordille ( Mildred nee Bertino ) Charles Ordille ( Rose nee Merlino); Robert C. Ordille; His nephews William F. Ordille, Jr., Robert C. Ordille, Jr., John G. Ordille. He is survived by brother William F. Ordille (Patricia nee Christopher Ordille ) of Hammonton, Sister in Law Rose nee Ammirato Ordille of Somers Point, Nieces and Nephews, Richard J. Ordille ( Mary) of Hammonton; Judy Curreri (Frank) of Folsom; Charles R. Ordille of Hammonton, David Ordille ( Donna) of Hammonton; Suzanne Oddo ( Dean) of Hammonton; Patricia Daly ( Thomas) of Morristown; Janice Peck (Steven) of Malvern, Pa; Pamela Raymond ( Stephen) of Moorestown; Denise nee Frey Ordille of Hammonton, 17 great nieces and nephews and 9 great great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Weds. 9:30am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at the Church. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish 226 French Street Hammonton, NJ 08037 or Hammonton Rescue Squad 300 S.
