Joan Irizarry

Joan Irizarry (nee Archer) 83 of Buena Vista, NJ passed away Sunday September 23rd, 2019 at Genesis Millville Center. Born in Vincentown, NJ, Joan lived most of her life in Winslow Township but spent a few years in Hammonton and Vineland. She worked for C & E Canners and as a waitress for Angie's Lunch and the Pine Crest Inn. Joan enjoyed going to the casinos and the racetrack, watching car races and cooking. She also loved to be with her friends at the McDonalds's in Hammonton.
Joan is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband George Irizarry, daughter Belinda Irizarry, brothers Harvey "Skeeter" Archer and Robert Archer, and son-in-law Joseph "Butch" Orlano. She is survived by her children, George Irizarry (Candace) and Beverly Orlano both of Vineland, sister Florence Moore "Tootsie", three brothers Harry, Thomas, and George Archer as well as her furry friends. Loving grandmother to four grandchildren, George R. Irizarry, Jr.; Michelle Irizarry-Auxer (Chris); Kaitlin Irizarry; and Joseph Orlano, Jr., five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday September 27th from 1:00-2:30pm with funeral services to follow at 2:30, all at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N Delsea Dr, Vineland, NJ 08360.
