Geno Cavoli

d. January 7, 2018

Geno Cavoli, 94, of Williamstown, NJ passed away peacefully January 7, 2018 at his residence. Geno was born in Minotola, NJ and has resided in Williamstown, NJ for the last 46 years.  He, along with his father, became the owners and operators of Cavoli's Airport a small airfield located in Buena, NJ in the 1940's and early 1950's. Therein, Geno's career took flight and spanned a 60 year history of flying.  He piloted all aspects of flying including crop dusting, fire drop, banner pulling and flight instructor.  Geno was a corporate pilot for several companies that included Vincent G. Kling & Associates, ARA Services and the Martin Dealerships.  He flew charter flights for Richard Nixon and Hubert Humphrey on their presidential campaign trails, Lord Mountbatten, Bob Hope and the Philadelphia 76ers. He received his pilot's license at the age of 16 and also had an Airframe Powerplant aircraft mechanics license. He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen, a pilot's organization. Retiring at the age of 78, Geno flew professionally for over 50 years. Geno had a wonderful career, but what his family would say was that Geno had a passion for the sky.  There was not one family dinner that a flying story would not be told by him.  Geno was a very kind, happy man who was beloved and will be greatly missed by his family.  Not one of his family members will ever see a plane overhead and not think of him in flight. He loved his family and he loved to fly. Captain Geno Cavoli soared into his last flight… to be with the Lord.
Geno is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mamie (Bertuzzi) Cavoli and his brother Robert. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace (nee Bellace) of Williamstown, his daughters Gina Terroni and her husband Bart of Yardley, PA and Lana Alliano of Hammonton, NJ. Loving grandfather of Mindy Alliano and John J. Alliano, Jr. Brother of Fred (Gert) Cavoli and brother in law of Sylvia Cavoli.
