Francis J. Mahon

Francis J. Mahon, age 79 of Folsom, NJ passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

Francis was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ and graduated from St. Joseph High School Hammonton, NJ in 1962, Monmouth University and Stetson Law School.

He was a member of the Florida and New Jersey Bar Association and served in the Army Reserve.

Francis retired as an Attorney with the Division of Taxation from the State of New Jersey. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish and volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul, Holy Redeemer Hospice and Guardian of Angels Life.

He is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Mary Mahon, his brother Dr. Michael S. Mahon, nephew Michael P. Mahon and Brother in Law James C. Sweeney.

Surviving is his sister Mary Sweeney and brother Stephen Mahon (Shirley). He is the loving uncle of Arthur Sweeney (Roseann), Kathleen Sweeney Jass (Daniel), Mimi Vaccarella, Michelle Mahon Furnaro (Michael), Stephen Mahon (Bridgette Scola), Maureen Mattson (Michael), Sean Mahon (Samantha), Brendan Mahon (Jack Allan), Bridget Hillin (Liz) and Great Uncle of Michael Vaccarella, Matthew Vaccarella (Nicolette Garbero), Mason Vaccarella (Morgan Ostermueller), Brittany Mahon, Stephen P. Mahon, Francis Mattson, Bridget Mattson and Henry Hillin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his church viewing Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:00AM at the Our Lady of the Lakes Parish 19 Malaga Rd. Collings Lakes, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 248 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ.
