Alvera Mascio

Alvera, age 80, passed away on Feb. 25, 2016. Predeceased by her parents John and Catherine ( Mitidieri ) and sister Marie Reckner. Born and raised and a lifetime resident of the Hammonton area. Alvera attended Hammonton School System. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She was employed by J.J. Newberry for 15 years and Acme Markets in Hammonton for many years before transferring to Acme Markets in Mays Landing, NJ. She retired from Acme Markets in June 1997, and moved to New Port Richey, FL to be with her brothers. After a short stay, she retired to Hammonton area where she has since resided. She enjoyed traveling, ceramics, arts & crafts and the company of her family and friends. She will be missed by family and friends. Surviving are her 2 sisters, Shirley A. Shina ( Peter ) of Hammonton, NJ, Rita Warren of Jacksonville, FL and 2 brothers Daniel Mascio of Rome, GA and John Mascio
( Eileen ) of Hammonton, NJ. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thur. from 9:30am - 10:45am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, NJ. Mass will be at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton, NJ.
